Dana Harding
Chef Profile 
 
 
Formerly a Culinary Program Manager and Chef Instructor for Sur La Table in New York, and
Demonstrator and Training Manager for England’s Aga Ranges, Dana Harding spent many
years honing her culinary skills, which developed out of a passion for cooking and entertaining
for friends. Having explored various outlets for culinary expression, she chose teaching for the
opportunity to share her love and knowledge of cooking and food, and to inspire those with the
same passion.
 
Dana moved to Charlotte in 2005, where she was a guest chef instructor at Cooking Uptown in
the Elizabeth area, and at Paula Gillman & Company in Rock Hill, SC. An enthusiastic teacher,
her 
mission is to instill confidence in home cooks, teaching them to cook with intuition and
encouraging them to have fun in the kitchen. While her classes cover a wide range of topics,
techniques, and cuisines, her expertise lies in fundamental cooking and knife skills, healthy
cooking, baking, and entertaining.  She teaches in a variety of formats, including cooking
demonstrations, hands-on cooking classes, in-home cooking parties, and private instruction. 
 
Dana moved to Nashville, TN in November of 2011, where she plans to continue teaching
and is considering a presence in the Nashville Farmers Market.  She also specializes in
customized catering for intimate gatherings, for both private and corporate clients. Her
catering menu offers a wide variety of breakfast, boxed lunch, and appetizer assortments,
as well as a scrumptious array of signature sweets and baked goods.
